ADDICTED underwear and swimwear, made to be seen

ADDICTED was born in Barcelona in 2009 as a swimwear label, in a city where summer is measured in trips to the sea. It still makes clothes for men who would rather be seen than blend in, and these days that attitude has an address in Budapest too.

It started at the water

The first ADDICTED pieces were swimwear, the work of Eduardo Suñer and Joan Busquets, who had founded ES Collection in Barcelona three years earlier. The swim range still runs from a close-cut brief to a roomier short, and either one feels just as much at home in the wave pool at the Palatinus in Budapest as on a Mediterranean beach. Underwear, gymwear and everyday clothes followed, with the same strong colour and the same close cut.

What changes at the front

Some pieces of ADDICTED underwear for men come with a little extra help, and not all of it is the same kind. Push Up lifts and supports with an inner pocket. Pack Up gives a fuller front with a foam insert, removable in some styles and there to stay in others. Molded shapes the front itself for a smoother surface. They are three different constructions rather than three names for one trick, and which one feels right depends on the day ahead.

Beyond the beach

A printed swim brief may be the first thing people notice, but ADDICTED also makes the T-shirt, the shorts or the top you pull on once you are dry, so the colour and the body-conscious cut carry on into the evening. The label has even made it onto the drag stage. In the fourth episode of the first season of Drag Race España, the prize for the mini challenge was a pack of ADDICTED underwear and swimwear.
