ES Collection started out in Barcelona in 2006 with men’s swimwear for long days by the Mediterranean. Today the range runs from the pool to underwear, sportswear and a full casual wardrobe.

A swimwear brand with a longer wardrobe

Eduardo Suñer and Joan Busquets founded ES Collection three years before they started ADDICTED, and swimwear came first. A brief, a boxer and a short are not just three amounts of fabric. The leg opening, the waistband and the front change how each one sits, and how you feel on the walk from your towel to the water. The shirts, knitwear and relaxed clothes came later and carry the same look well beyond the pool.

A summer Saturday at the Hungarian sea

Hungary has no coastline, but it does have Lake Balaton. The largest lake in Central Europe is often called the Hungarian sea, and a summer Saturday on its shore means going in and out of the water from morning until sunset. That is when the feel of swimwear matters as much as its look. A lined swim brief feels different from an unlined one, and a close-fitting top sits differently from a looser shirt thrown on for the beach bar.

The brand describes its style through Mediterranean life, elegance and sensuality, and it shows in the balance between a fitted swimsuit and an easy shirt, or between a coordinated colour and a quieter texture. ES Collection shares its Barcelona roots with ADDICTED and belongs to Denier, a Catalan family textile company founded in the city in 1958. What sets it apart is a wider, calmer wardrobe for the hours after the beach.
