ADDICTED underwear, with Barcelona in every colour
ADDICTED is a Barcelona label for men’s underwear and swimwear, founded in 2009, with sportswear and casual clothes for the hours in between. Bright colour, close cuts and a waistband people recognise from across the bar.
THE BRAND
It started with swimwear
ADDICTED was founded in Barcelona in 2009 by Eduardo Suñer and Joan Busquets, who had launched ES Collection three years earlier, and the first pieces were men’s swimwear. In a city that heads for the beach after work, that made perfect sense. Underwear, sportswear and casual clothing followed, and the colour came along with them.
The brand is at home in the gay scene. In the first season of Drag Race España, an ADDICTED underwear and swimwear pack was the prize in one of the mini-challenges, and since July 2023 ADDICTED and ES Collection have shared a flagship store on Consell de Cent, in Barcelona’s Gaixample.
RANGE
A day in four parts
A July Saturday in Vienna can start with a swim in the Alte Donau, move on to a terrace on the Donaukanal and end in a club, all without going home in between. ADDICTED makes something for every part of that day.
Swimwear
Close cuts and looser shorts for the lido, the lake and the beach where it all began.
Sport
Tanks and shorts for a run down the chestnut-lined Prater Hauptallee and the coffee afterwards.
Casual
Shirts, knitwear, denim and accessories for when the evening moves on to dinner.
FIT
The secret is on the inside
Not everyone wants the same thing from a pair of briefs, and it often depends on the day. Molded gives the front a smooth shape with no centre seam, Push Up lifts from the inside, and Pack Up adds a removable insert for days that call for more. Under slim summer trousers or at the pool, each one has its moment.
