Pride in Austria 2026, city by city

Austria’s Pride summer had a bit of every kind of weather. Vienna’s thirtieth Regenbogenparade went ahead in the rain, Graz marched in heat above 30 degrees, and Salzburg closed the season in September with a ten-day festival and a parade after a rainy morning.

2026 REVIEW

Vienna Pride 2026 went the other way around the Ring

Vienna Pride ran from 29 May to 14 June. On the final Saturday, the thirtieth Regenbogenparade circled the Ringstraße against the usual direction of traffic and returned to Rathausplatz. By the organisers’ count, 320,000 people came, and despite the rain, as they put it, everyone stayed.

  1. Vienna Pride began

More than two weeks of political, cultural and community events started across the city.

  2. Regenbogenparade

A cloudburst held up the noon start by twenty minutes. Then the demonstration made a complete circuit of the Ring before the Pride Celebration at Rathausplatz.

  3. The programme ended

The last events closed a Pride that had marked thirty years of the parade under the motto “SICHTBAR seit 1996”.

CSD Graz 2026, a march first and the Parkfest after

On 27 June, around 15,000 people, by the organisers’ estimate, walked with CSD Graz from the Stadtpark through the city centre to the Volksgarten. The Parkfest carried on there with music, information stands and three stages.

The heat changed the plan. The political speeches moved from the sun-baked Hauptplatz to the shade of Wilhelm-Fischer-Allee in the Stadtpark, before the march set off. The next CSD Graz is already set for 26 June 2027.

Salzburg Pride, ten days across the city

Pride Festival Salzburg ran from 28 August to 6 September, with roughly 35 events spread across the city instead of one big afternoon.

Readings, workshops, cinema, art, picnics and late nights filled the ten days. On Saturday 5 September the CSD parade left the main station at 17:00, passed Mirabell Palace and crossed the Staatsbrücke, with more than 5,000 people walking.

RAIN AND SHINE

Rain in Vienna, heat in Graz

Pride in Austria means a long day outside, whatever the city. A full lap of the Ring, a march into a park festival or a parade at the end of ten festival days all ask for clothes that keep up with the weather. A bit of colour from the ADDICTED Pride collection never hurts either.

  • 01

Vienna, 13 June. A downpour at noon, and nobody went home.

  • 02

Graz, 27 June. Heat above 30 degrees sent the speeches into the shade of the Stadtpark.

  • 03

Salzburg, 5 September. A rainy morning, then more than 5,000 people on the streets.
