ADDICTED / CASUAL IN BARCELONA
A summer day in gay Barcelona, from the beach to the bar
Barcelona is where ADDICTED was born, and all summer long the city lives outdoors. Coffee on a terrace in the Eixample, an afternoon at Mar Bella, the first drink once the heat breaks. Cropped tanks, a coral polo and black mesh take the brand well beyond underwear.

THE CITY
In Barcelona people dress for the heat and for being seen, often at the same time. A cropped hem shows a little waist, a printed shirt pulls the eye to the chest, and either one carries you from an afternoon by the sea to a late dinner.
When the shirt carries the outfit
A black-and-white printed shirt belongs to an evening in the Gaixample, the blocks around Consell de Cent where Barcelona’s gay bars sit close together. Buttoned up for dinner and open by the second bar, it is one of those men’s shirts that need nothing louder than plain jeans.
Few people in Barcelona wear the same print top and bottom. The shirt meets a pair of jeans you already love, and the fit across the shoulders matters more than any matching set.

Sheer above, denim below
Barcelona nights start late, and the clubs rarely fill before midnight. A black mesh top with jeans is about as easy as going-out clothes get, sheer where it counts and covered where it does not.
It goes from a terrace to the club without a change, and a sheer top does not have to come with a harness. Back home it works just as well for a warm night in Berlin or a CSD after-party in Cologne, which is the whole idea of ADDICTED casual, clothes that never make you go back and change.

A polo with a different attitude
For the afternoons that call for a collar, a long lunch in Gràcia or the walk up to Montjuïc, there is the coral polo. It shows less skin than a cropped tank, yet in that colour nobody would call it quiet.
One bright piece is plenty in a city that supplies the rest of the colour itself, from the tiled facades of the Eixample to the evening light on the beach.
